The Kpando Municipal Assembly hosted an orientation programme for national service personnel, featuring remarks from distinguished municipal leaders who emphasized professionalism, discipline, and community service.
Hon. Killian Donkor, Municipal Chief Executive, highlighted the importance of personal conduct, appearance, and discipline, urging service personnel to remain organized and professional throughout their service year. Mr. Mark Kwaku, Assistant Director for the Municipal, outlined ways service personnel can add value to themselves and their communities. He encouraged increased commitment and cooperation with both learners and staff.
Mr. Joshua Gbagbagbo, speaking on behalf of the Municipal Director, urged personnel to remain respectful, disciplined, and dedicated to duty, and to maintain good workplace relationships while showing due respect to superiors.
Mr. Joshua Zigba, Chief Inspector of Heads of Schools, reminded attendees that national service contributes to Ghana’s development. He assured them of classroom support and emphasized that practical field experience will enrich their service year.
Election of officers
The election and vetting of candidates were conducted peacefully. Candidates presented manifestos and answered questions from members before voting commenced. The results are as follows:

- General Secretary: Mr. Samuel Agyemene
- Organizing Secretary: Mr. David Adzraku
- Financial Secretary: Miss Lucky Deh
- Women’s Commissioner: Miss Abigail Atsu
