Kpando Municipal Assembly provides support to Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), through the distribution of various items and the presentation of cheques to selected beneficiaries at the Assembly’s forecourt.
The event which took place on Monday 31st August, 2026 was led by the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Killian Donkor, and was graced by the Member of Parliament for Kpando, Hon. Sebastian Deh. The event empowered 87 beneficiaries with items worth GHS 424,000. These included sewing machines, deep freezers, fridges, fufu processing machines, barbering machines, wheelchairs, and cheques to promote self‑reliance.
Hon. Donkor highlighted on government’s commitment to inclusivity, noting that under President John Dramani Mahama, the District Assemblies Common Fund allocation for PWDs has been increased from 3% to 5%. He encouraged beneficiaries to make good use of the support to improve their livelihoods.
The Assembly congratulates all beneficiaries and remains dedicated to uplifting the vulnerable in the Municipality.
