KPANDO MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY SUPPORTS TRAINERS UNDER NATIONAL YOUTH AUTHORITY APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAMME

Six (6) trainers under the National Youth Authority Apprenticeship Programme in the Kpando Municipality have received training equipment to enhance effective skills development and practical instruction.

The presentation ceremony, held on Monday, April 6, 2026, at the forecourt of the Kpando Municipal Assembly, marked the official rollout of the first batch of the programme in the municipality. The initiative currently supports six (6) trainers and thirty (30) trainees, with the aim of equipping young people with employable and self-reliant skills to help curb youth unemployment.

The Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu, together with the Member of Parliament for Kpando, Hon. Sebastian Deh, and the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Killian Donkor, presented the equipment to the beneficiaries.

The items distributed included:

  • Ten (10) Butterfly hand sewing machines
  • Two (2) industrial sewing machine sets
  • Two (2) knitting machine sets
  • Two (2) hair dryers
  • Additional accessories

In his remarks, Hon. Killian Donkor urged the people of Kpando to take full advantage of the programme, emphasizing government’s unwavering commitment to youth empowerment through skills development and sustainable job creation initiatives.
