The Agric Department of the Kpando Municipal Assembly has organized a training programme for potential beneficiaries of the Nkoko Nkitinkiti initiative. The training focused on equipping participants with practical knowledge on poultry management, specifically the handling of layers.
Speaking at the event, the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Killian Donkor, disclosed that the Assembly had received 10,000 chicks, but due to unforeseen circumstances, 9,000 remain. He explained that the programme is currently in its pilot stage, with 200 forms available for distribution. Hon. Donkor urged participants to exercise patience, noting that if some beneficiaries are not selected during the pilot phase, they will be considered in subsequent phases, as the programme has come to stay.
A total of 380 potential beneficiaries attended the training session, underscoring the strong community interest in the initiative.
