KPANDO BUSINESS RESOURCE CENTRE HOSTS FOLLOW-UP BUSINESS FORUM

On Monday, 1st June 2026, the Kpando Business Resource Centre (BRC) successfully organized a follow-up Business Forum to address key challenges identified during a previous engagement with Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). The discussions focused particularly on financial support and business permit acquisition.

The forum brought together key stakeholders and resource persons, including representatives from Opportunity International, Asubonteng Rural Bank, and Engineer Francis Hoetu from the Kpando Municipal Assembly. They provided practical guidance on business registration processes, permit acquisition procedures, and the required documentation.

Participants gained valuable insights into applying for business permits, meeting regulatory requirements, and accessing financial support opportunities to strengthen and expand their enterprises. The session also emphasized the importance of compliance and improving access to capital for sustainable growth.

This engagement forms part of ongoing efforts to equip MSMEs with the tools needed to overcome operational challenges and promote business expansion within the municipality.

Mr. Prince Anku, Head of the BRC, affirmed that such forums will continue, helping to close institutional and operational gaps over time.

The forum successfully bridged the information gap between regulators, financiers, and MSMEs, equipping participants with clear steps to formalize their businesses and access affordable finance. Stakeholders agreed that sustained collaboration between the District Assembly, Opportunity International, Asubonteng Rural Bank, and other partners will be key to driving continued MSME growth in the district.
