KPANDO MUNICIPAL STAFF UNDERGO FIRE PREVENTION TRAINING

The Kpando Municipal Assembly has organized a fire safety training for its staff to strengthen workplace safety and emergency preparedness. Officers from various departments were taken through practical strategies for preventing fire outbreaks and responding effectively during emergencies.

Facilitators from the Ghana National Fire Service demonstrated the use of fire extinguishers and fire blankets, evacuation procedures, and ways to identify potential hazards.

Municipal fire officials urged staff to adopt safe practices such as avoiding phone use while charging or during thunderstorms, and turning off regulators after cooking. They explained that fire outbreaks occur when heat, fuel, and oxygen combine, stressing the need for vigilance.

The initiative reflects the Assembly’s commitment to promoting a culture of safety and resilience across the municipality.
