KPANDO MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY EMBARKS ON NATIONAL SANITATION EXERCISE

The Kpando Municipal Assembly has joined the nationwide two-day sanitation exercise, beginning at the forecourt of the Kpando Police Station. The exercise brought together security services, institutions, and agencies who actively participated in the clean-up.

As part of the initiative, motorcyclists riding without helmets were cautioned and tasked to clear gutters for a few minutes before continuing their journey. They were also encouraged to always wear helmets for their safety.

Addressing the officers present, Hon. Killian Donkor expressed his appreciation for the strong turnout. He emphasized the importance of maintaining cleanliness beyond the two-day exercise, especially during the rainy season, stating: “We are here as one family, and I am happy to see the numbers that came out. Let us not limit this to just two days but make it a habit to keep our environment clean at all times.”Choked gutters in front of the police station were desilted and cleared, significantly improving drainage in the area. The exercise later continued to the National Health Insurance Junction at Tsakpe New Town, where another major gutter was desilted and cleared, marking the successful completion of the day’s activities.
