On February 3, 2026, the Kpando Municipal Assembly hosted a high-level Comprehensive Infrastructure Needs Assessment Meeting, marking a pivotal step toward a new era of development for the municipality.
The meeting convened key stakeholders, including the Member of Parliament for the Kpando Constituency, Hon. Sebastian Deh; the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Killian Donkor; the Coordinating Director for Kpando Municipal, Gilbert Akaba; traditional leaders; market association representatives; the Youth Employment Agency Coordinator; representatives from the transport union; and a specialized technical team from the Institute of Climate and Environmental Governance (ICEG), operating under the mandate of the Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs.
The primary objective of the engagement was to identify and consolidate five top-priority development projects that will serve as a strategic blueprint for Kpando’s immediate future. These selected projects are expected to receive dedicated funding support from the central government and international development partners, ensuring that the Assembly’s vision is effectively translated from planning into tangible results.
