GHANA SCHOLARSHIPS AUTHORITY CONDUCTS SCHOLARSHIP INTERVIEW IN KPANDO MUNICIPALITY

The Ghana Scholarships Authority has successfully conducted a scholarship interview in the Kpando Municipality to assess eligible applicants seeking financial support to pursue various academic programmes.

The interview was held on 12th August 2026 at the Kpando Municipal Assembly Hall and was conducted by a five-member panel constituted by the Ghana Scholarships Authority. The exercise sought to assess applicants based on their academic performance, financial circumstances, personal background, and other relevant criteria to determine their eligibility for scholarship support.

Out of the 24 applicants expected, 20 applicants reported and participated in the interview process.

The Hon. Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Kpando, Hon. Killian Donkor, warmly welcomed the panel members and applicants to the Municipality. He expressed his appreciation to the Ghana Scholarships Authority for extending the scholarship opportunity to deserving students within the Kpando Municipality.

In his remarks, the MCE emphasized the importance of scholarships in supporting students, particularly those from financially disadvantaged backgrounds. He noted that such interventions help remove financial barriers and enable students to pursue their education with greater focus and confidence.

Hon. Killian Donkor encouraged the applicants to be truthful and provide accurate information throughout the interview process. He further urged those who are successful to take their studies seriously, maintain strong academic performance, and make meaningful contributions to the development of their communities and the nation.

The MCE concluded by wishing the panel a successful exercise and expressed the hope that deserving applicants from the Kpando Municipality would benefit from the scholarship programme.

The Kpando Municipal Assembly commends the Ghana Scholarships Authority for its continued commitment to supporting students and promoting access to quality education across the country.
