On 26th December 2025, the Kpando Municipal Assembly, led by the Member of Parliament, Hon. Sebastian Deh, organized a massive clean-up exercise at the Kpando Market. The initiative saw active participation from the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Killian Donkor, traders, residents, security service officials, environmental health staff, and other key stakeholders.
The activities carried out included the de-silting of choked gutters and the removal of heaps of refuse within and around the market. These efforts significantly improved the sanitation conditions of the area, reinforcing the Assembly’s commitment to maintaining a clean and healthy environment.
In his remarks, Hon. Killian Donkor commended all participants for their dedication and teamwork. He further encouraged traders to adopt proper sanitation practices and to sustain cleanliness at the market, which remains a major commercial hub in the Municipality.
The exercise was highly successful and demonstrated the importance of collective responsibility in promoting public health and ensuring a cleaner, safer environment for all.
