The Municipal Chief Executive of Kpando Hon Geoffrey Kodzo Badasu on Friday 21st April 2023 attended a short ceremony organised to welcome 30 newly posted Police Officers made of 23 men and 7 women into the Municipality.
The posting of the Officers came with ten (10) brand new Suzuki motorbikes and one (1) Patrol Pickup vehicle to increase Police visibility and improve internal security in the Municipality.
In a short address to welcome the Officers, Hon M.C.E. who doubled as the chairman of MUSEC charged the young Officers to serve the people with integrity and in diligence. He further encouraged them to cultivate the habit of savings to help them prepare for the future
The Municipal Chief Executive advised the officers to emulate the good examples of their Senior officers some of whom are Assistant Commissioners of Police, Assistant Superintendent of Police etc, and aspire higher.
A descent accommodation was provided to give shelter to the men to discharge their duties in comfort.
Some Senior Officers Present were Divisional Commander ACP Wisdom Lavoe, Municipal Commander Samuel Yeboah, The Divisional Crime Officer, and the Volta North Regional Commander.
In a concluding remarks by the Volta North Regional Commander DCOP Edward Faakye Kumi thanked the MCE for the enormous support to the Ghana Police Service in the Municipality and assured that the Police will ensure peace is maintained in accordance with strict Police code of ethics.
