Eweh defined monitoring as operational and administrative activities that tracks resource allocation, utilization and delivering of goods and services as well as immediate outcomes and Evaluation as systematic determination and assessment of a subject’s merit, worth and significance, using criteria governed by a set of standards.
He later added that evaluation is a periodic activity whereas monitoring is a continuous assessment hence when the project end then monitoring ends.
Mr. Isaac Eweh mentioned that most of the departments don’t collaborate with each other so when there is time to submit report most of it are inaccurate.
Mr. Isaac advice that meetings organized for MPCU Members should be strictly attended by Heads of Department/Unit and they should desist from allowing their assistants to attend such meeting cause most assistant do not report directly on what was discussed to their respective heads.
The Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Geoffrey Badasu in his closing remarks thanked the staff for their attendance and participation. He encouraged the members to put into action what they have learnt and work as a team.
