HON. MCE’S COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT HELD AT DEBIDEBI

The Management of Kpando Municipal Assembly led by the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Geoffrey Kodzo Badasu on Saturday 24th December 2022 held a Community Engagement at Debidebi, a community within the Kpando Municipality. The Engagement was to distribute a total number of twenty (20) streetlights to the community and request the major needs of the community and how best the Assembly could assist.

The Headman on behalf of the community expressed gratefulness to both the Hon. MCE and the Assembly for the support. He assured the Hon. MCE that the lights would be put to great use. He seized the occasion to appeal to the Hon MCE and the Assembly to come to the aid of the community by constructing a CHPS Compound as well as a teachers’ bungalow to help improve healthcare delivery and education in the community, respectively.

He also appealed for the construction of the community’s access road which was a major contributing factor to post-harvest losses by farmers in the community. He further pleaded with the Hon. MCE to help find a lasting solution to the menace of Fulani Herdsmen in the community.

The Hon. MCE in his address to the community mentioned that the Assembly was financially constrained to be able to tackle all the needs of every community within the Municipality at the same time. He nonetheless stated that despite the limited resources available to the Assembly, he would ensure that developmental projects are evenly distributed across the Municipality. On the several requests by the community, he mentioned that the Management of the Assembly would meet on the matter and take a decision on it. He used the opportunity to appeal to community members to always pay their taxes to enable the Assembly to undertake more developmental projects in the Municipality.
