On August 7, 2025, the Kpando Municipal Assembly convened a General Assembly Meeting at the Assembly Hall to deliberate on key matters affecting the administration and development of the Municipality. The discussions focused on critical issues including revenue mobilization, sanitation and health, education, social intervention programs, road construction, and infrastructure development.
During the session, the Municipal Environmental Health Analyst, Mr. Peter-Pariki Kwashie, highlighted that butchers at the slaughterhouse have transitioned from using car tyres to bamboo in preparing slaughtered animals—a practice that is more hygienic and environmentally friendly.
Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Gilbert Akaba, emphasized that the Assembly will not award any new projects until management clears all outstanding arrears owed to contractors. This decision underscores the Assembly’s commitment to financial discipline, accountability, and prudent resource management.
